I’m writing this to just say a massive thank you to Mr Dennis for putting so much time and effort into this trip to make it something that we could all enjoy, I get a feeling that wasn’t the easiest thing to do.
This has been a once in a lifetime opportunity and it has opened my eyes to so many things. Going to all the cemeterys was a very moving and eye opening experience, to see in person the numbers that you always hear is something else, to walk around a cemetery and see the ages of people who gave up their lives to fight for our country, most of whom didn’t even get the opportunity to start their own family is something that I’ll always remember.
This trip has made me respect all the men and women that risked their lives and still do so much more than I already did.
Also a massive thank you to Miss Mckernan for keeping us all safe, putting up with us and helping everyone who got sick making sure that they got back on their feet to enjoy the trip. And to everyone on this trip, thank you for making it what it was. All in all this was a great experience and thank you to everyone who helped organise it , also a massive shoutout to Bill for making this website run and editing each and every one of these posts.
