We’ve done quite a bit so far and yesterday was no exception. After a visit to a primary school in Abbeville, and another to the local Cathedral, we visited not only the cell where Joan of Arc was held before she was burned at the stake but also Jules Vern’s summer home. We then finished off the night with bellies full of snails. Some of us felt a bit odd afterwards (no thanks to the ghosts lurking around downstairs) but all pulled up fairly well. The Miannay Manor has been a welcome change of pace to the hotels we’ve been staying at as the communal dining room and laundry arrangements felt very much like home.
Right now, we’re about halfway through a 3 1/2 hour drive to Normandy. At the same time we’re about an eighth of the way through the Harry Potter series. So for now, it’s see ya later from all of us on the bus.
