About the Tour

Welcome

Hello and welcome.

This website is for the students travelling on the “BSC Battlfields Tour”. This project has been running since 2013! This site is made available for all students and their families to share posts, pictures, stories and events related to the “Battlefields Tour”. We encourage you to contribute!

Students from across the year levels at  Broadford Secondary College will be travelling to England, Belgium and France  to study and experience first-hand, the battlefields of the First World War 1914-18 as well as the World War Two  D-Day Museum.

Students will be learning French [mon Dieu! ], researching family histories  and the stories of fallen soldiers. They will also work with a range of supporters and sponsors to put together the trip of a life-time.

Did we also mention students will spend 3 days in Paris, taking in the sights of one of Europe’s most famous cities!

    Well, its hard to believe 3 weeks have gone by.
    Yes, this amazing trip is coming to an end. However, I cannot help but feel it is only the beginning of the many journeys and discoveries this group of young Australians will explore.
    It has been far more than just an educational experience & broadening of the mind…it goes deeper, and will stay with them forever.
    Our warmest thanks to Bryan Dennis & Lisa Hanson for their amazing effort and time.

    I would like to express my THANKS to Mr Bryan Dennis & Mrs Lisa Hanson, I’m sure I speak for all the parents who child has been traveling on this tour.I’m full of gratitude and deep appreciation for the time and effort you both have put into this wonderful experience for the Student. I know it’s meant that you both have given up valuable time with your own family to be with our children,which I’m grateful for. THANK YOU AGAIN.
